Good morning,
30 degrees in North Pole, AK, Still working on the 9N. Measured the front tread and I get 53-5/8 inches. Both axles are set one hole in and and my hubs and spindles are both stamped 9N. I made sure the hub bearings were seated. I checked for any markings on the wheels but have found none. The book says 48" plus one hole should be 52" What is the proper back spacing for the 9N front wheel? What should I look for if I start looking for new front wheels. Thanks, AdamP

Adam..... ...unlike the rear wheels where you swap mounting bolts on the rims for adjustment, the front axle is adjustable in 2-in increments each side. You could have one frontaxle side adjusted way out as a marker iff'n you need to for planting purposes. There is NO OFFSET to the 5-bolt widehub 3x19 front wheel mounting the 4x19 tire.

Iff'n yer measuring correctly (wheel bearing hub height) front and rear, then most likely yer toe-in (1/4", but NOT critial at tractor speeds) is TOE-OUT. Theres supposted be "witness marks" chiseled on top of yer rusty axle spindles that need to be set everytime you change axle width with the turnbuckle draglinks..... ..Dell
