Been a few days since we have seen how Fred is doing. Any progress? any new pictures?

Well mowing the 10 acre camp ground was put off till next Friday.

Got some work done on Fred.

Had to remove the brake shaft so I could replace the brake backing plates.
Found some replacement collars at TSC. The originals were riveted on the brake shaft. I destroyed them when I removed them :lol:
New collar. It has a set screw and I put loctite on the threads..

BBQ for the brake shoes and some brake cleaner :lol: Left side was oil soaked...Right side the sure seal was doing its job. Going to clean that side sunday and put the right axle back in.

I will get a couple shots of the sure seal install on thhe left side. I took a angle grinder to the seal and hammered it in...

You and I are in the same boat... The pile of small parts to be cleaned and painted is a bit daunting (some would say depressing).

I do have quite a few parts that are ready for primer...Need to prep the rest and prime everything at once...

No new pics...Not much progress...Had to get some work done on my brush hog...Got 10 acres i need to mow with the 9N (still No Name) Going to earn some parts money :D 8) Seat time :D
