This is kinda OT, but... Spring has arrived in MT., finally, so...I decided to clean up the front yard. I got out a piece of old harrow I have layin' around, to smooth out the lawn area, and because "Hermie the 2N" is resting up, from plowing snow, I got out my other tractor to pull the harrow.

OH yeh, forgot to tell ya, my other tractor is GREEN, but it works pretty good for this confined area.

third party image

OK, OK...so my other tractor is really a four wheeler. I'll bet ya thought it was a JD.!!!!

The area turned out fairly good but...looks better from a distance.

BTW: This was not supposed to be a ROCK garden, SO..... .I'll give you guys all the rocks you can pick up out of here. But I need this done soon as it is going to rain sometime, and I would like to plant some grass!!!!
Gary (HELP me)

Hobo;

Glad to hear about the back feelin' a little better!!! I'm still havin' spasyms, with mine, but.....with all the calcium deposit spurs on my back, I have just decided to live with it, until the reaper comes to call!!!

That is a real good pic. of you and the four wheeler. It's like this.....Ya find something that is really fun, and ya like to do, and someone or something always seems to ruin it for ya. That looks and sounds like a beefy 4 wheeler. The one I got, is only a 2 wheel drive, 250 CC. Pretty small but gets me around the mt's and town, and dam good gas milage.

Good mornin' to ya, and take care of yer self!!!! LIFT with the legs!!!

How many times ya heard that recently?????
Gary :)

Gary, I do just the opposite! I don't want no grass if I can help it. I've got 3/4 of the house surrounded by pea-gravel & would do the rest if wife wouldn't pitch such a fit.
I don't want anymore grass than she can mow in about 15 minutes!

Maybe that is the secret to a good lawn in your parts too. Don't give them rocks away, just fertilize them instead!

Don't know if he ever finished grade school, but the guy is sure worth a bundle now.

Gary,

I don"t want to brag, but you don"t really have a lot of rocks. I have rocks the size of Volkswagens in my pasture. I have removed about 100 rocks from the wife"s garden that weighed over 200 pounds each. Those little things you have I don"t even mess with. (I do however see the one respctable size red rock in the picture.) If I removed all the rocks on our place we would live in a deep hole!

I have to be very careful with gravel on my place because I spilled some in the pasture about 4 years ago and they have grown to the size of large watermellons in the intervening years. As I write this I know that the rocks are reproducing and growing beneath the surface of our pastures.

(Grin!)

I haven't seen that much rock since I left Tennessee. We retired in South Louisiana in 99 and I was amazed when they dug our waste water treatment plant. The backhoe scoop dug 12 feet deep in the darkest rock free dirt I had ever seen. Not one stone.
The ground does soak up the rain when it falls though, and the saying is down here is you can stick a dead branch in the ground and it will grow leaves.
Nice rock....

Yep. you got the lawnmower. ADD: snowblower
Roto tiller
The wifes explorer

Les' says to add that, if all those ran on methane, I could keep them full of fuel forever.

Wonder what she meant by sayin' that :?: :?: :?:

Fannin County has NO rocks! Some would think that was great - it is hard hauling in stone every time you want a fire pit or garden edge.

The grass is always greener...
