I believe I have a 2N but can't tell for sure because I can't read the tag. I was back-blading with my Ford and all of sudden my 3 point lift quit working. I have tried engaging and dis-engage but their is no different. It wouldn't go up or down, but would keep the blade raised.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

While the guys have offered EXCELLENT advice about yer FORK comin' outta control valve groove. And you can use a stainless screw-type radiator hoze clamp to tighen yer forks innna the groove. Won't hurt 'nuttin'.

But the FIRST thing to do when you have hydraulic lift problems is to remove the 6"-round dipstick plate and look fer squirts while liftin' sumptin'. There is 2-places fer squirts. The hydraulic lift piston, (usually just dribbles) or the more likely squirt'em at the top-lift cover gasket where high-pressure passes thru from the hydraulic stand-pipe to the hydraulic cylinder fill'em-up.

Iff'n NO SQUIRTS, then according to yer description, it is most likely the valve control fork cummin' outta the groove. You can muscle it into place and put the radiator band screwclamp on to hold fork in its grooves

The 8N does NOT have a "fork" to control lifting valve..... ..Dell

PTO must be engaged for lift to work. if pto is working and lift won't work, check to make sure there is oil in the rear end. if so, pull the dipstick cover and see if the fork from the 3pt handle has come of fthe tvalve/control valve.. if it hasn't.. check to see that the control valve actually moves when you move the 3pt handle.

Sounds like your forks from your controls have slipped off the pump valve. Remove the inspection plate that contains your transmission level dipstick. Remove the bottom bolt first and be sure to put a pan underneath because it likely has oil above that level. After removing the plate, follow the forks down from the hand control and see if the ends are attatched to a tee shaped valve that protrudes from the back of the hydraulic pump. If not, you can attach them back yourself. The service manuals available will have an exploded parts page so you can see better what I'm trying to explain.
