12V conversion using Delco 12si alternator?

I am putting lights on my 2N and have a 12V 25 gallon sprayer tank I want to use, therefore a 12V conversion is in order. I have 2 Delco 12Si alternators (the mid 80's big brother to the 10Si) laying around and was wondering if the wiring for those would be the same? Will the slightly larger case size be a problem? Should I just get a 10Si?

Thanks!

I thought about that, but I already have all of the conversion stuff laying around, and I'm in the process of putting the tractor back together so...

Besides, I want to run a full set of lights, and I hear the 6 volt ones aren't very bright.

I put a 12v battery on my sprayer.A full charge lasts a long time.Save the conversion money for spray materials.

Me again
Just found this link that describes all of the differences between the two. It appears that it will work just fine in the "traditional" way.

Thanks for watching me have this little conversation with myself.

Just found out the cases are the same size, so that question has been answered.
