My 3point hitch is continually in the "up" position no matter what I do with the lever. If I shut off the PTO, it will drop of course, but as soon as I turn on the PTO, no matter what, it lifts the implement. Makes mowing with the finish mower impossible of course!!!
Thanks!

No, the pin that tapers, which I guess is the pin clip, was broken... That sorta worries me... might break again.

The control valve is broken? Or the linkage that attaches to the control valve? The valve is easy to replace...You will have to find used forks(linkage) if that is broke!!

The forks are fine. I'm calling them the "forks" -- they are the 2 flat pieces that run vertically and are like the forks on a bicycle... Is that what you are talking about?

The piece that runs between the forks at the end of the forks is okay too. It's the part that runs from that crosspiece to the pump that is gone. is that the control valve

That is the control valve in the first pic. Thats not a pan...That is the pump that comes out the boottom. The forks have to be put on the control valve thru the inspection ports..Cant drop the pump until the forks are removed from the valve.

The forks weren't attached. They are loose and there's a pin that tapers on one end and is sort of shaped like a valve stem on the other end... well, it is broken...

Here is the linkage that hooks up to the valve..

After closer inspection, I see the pin is actually broken right after the point that it tapers down...

Where to go? Thanks.

Yep... that little pin show in the picture that fits into the spring... I felt down in the bottom of the pan and there it was...

I guess the next step is to pull the pan and put things back together?

New fluid? New gasket? Where's the best place to buy them? To find them? Thanks!

You may be able to tell be feel. I could, but I've been all around in there with & w/o fluid. It is not very deep & if parked on an incline , it may be uncovered. At most, you would only need to drain part if fluid.

Pull the dipstick cover and see if your 3pt handle fork is hooke dtot he T valve, and if so.. is it actually moving it?

all it takes is a piece of grit to stick the control valve.
