Here I am on a cold Spring morning in sunny California with lined cap and all. Implement shed on the left. Tall trees ahead on left are eucalyptus; right of center (partially obscured) is a Giant Sequoia; extreme right is a Coast Redwood. These are among the tallest trees in the world. Wife, daughter and I planted them all, 342, between 1983-1986. Eucs, the fastest growing of all, are mainly for firewood but will keep some. Others are strictly to enhance the landscape, part of a former Boysenberry farm. (High weeds are volunteer oats; some years back I planted oats for a neighbor with horses.)

Always keep a piece of EUC. wood around the farm.

There might be another use for the wood other than "firewood".

I planted a dogwood tree here on my place in PA.
Dogwoods are not allowed to be transported into the state of FLORIDA, according to FLORIDA Dept. of AGRI. inspection stations along Interstate 10.

As bad luck struck last year, my DOGWOOD tree perished in the drought of last summer.

For the DAR, (Daughters of the American Revolution), I am making a small project for them using the DOGWOOD wood. Lathe project.

According to the GOOD BOOK, the CROSS was made from DOGWOOD, harvested in EGYPT.

I think your EUC. trees originated in the same area.

NICE PICTURE..... John, PA....Leaving for work!

Have a GREAT DAY
