I just wanted to comment about all the posts this winter from guys who are glad they have some snow to push around with their N's. I'm happy for you if you're happy - but I sure feel different about that nasty white stuff.

In my experience, if you leave it on your driveway it melts, sooner or later. If we ever get one my 4WD pickup won't go through (which hasn't happened yet) I'll just stay home. If I get a craving for the same thrill you guys are getting, I'll put the blade on in October and push oak leaves around (in a short sleeve shirt, that is).

I'm glad y'all are having fun, though - enjoy! :>)

I agree with Sam. I think some of it might have something to do with age and life's experiences, do you think? As the sying goes, I've "been there, done that!" Back in my younger days, I used a John Deere MT, then a JD B, lots of plowing with a Farmall Super C and I like my 2N with the "Zane Thang;" it works great for cleaning up AFTER I put the plow on the Cherokee, grab a cup of coffee, get an oldies station on the radio and plow snow. Now-I'm not knocking anyone and I'm glad that you are having fun and hope you continue to have fun. But me? I'd rather be at the fair on a nice July evening with my tractor club, showing my 2N, talking to all of the great people I meet, and then being out on the track and hooking up to the sled. Anyway, the important thing is for everyone to KEEP ON HAVIN' FUN!!
Regards to all.

I agree. KEEP ON HAVING FUN with your Ns, as I do. But, remember "Let's be careful out there!"

I agree Sam, they can have my share too. I like plowing my field when it is about 70* above. WE get lots of rain here in Vancouver, sometimes it gets tiring, but I don't have to shovel it.
Have fun with your N's no matter where you are or what you are doing with them.
Stan

Stan all that rain that you get on the coast comes to us up here in the cariboo as that white fluffy stuff. I love it.Spent about three hours today doing my yard and two neighbours yards.
Sure hope it snows over night so i can do it again tomorrow. Just love the lifestyle up here.Moved up here from the coast in 1990. Don't miss all that traffic and rain at all!!!!

Bruce, I probably would like it too, I have property in Princeton, and I love it up there, but I don't spend winters up there at all. I quess I'm use to all the traffic here, I don't mind driving in it when on duty on my bus,( why people like Vancouver, 1 1/2 million people, 3 bridges) but my own vehicle, that's different. When I retire in another 12 years in Princeton, I will have equipment ( probably newer than my 8N) to take care of the snow. As for the rain, I've lived with it for 45 years and prefer it over shoveling.

When I plowed with an old truck it was no fun, I dreaded the white stuff. But there is something about an 8N that makes it fun. When life gives you lemons we make lemonade. It is the temp I can live with out -10 this moring. Happy plowing. John
