I see that many of the humerous posts have been deleted now. As well a number of significant technical posts, particularly replies.

What's the new and improved censorship rules around here Kim?

I know I've said some things that I intended to be funny, but may have come across otherwise. Yet, sticking to the facts (or opinions disguised as facts :-)) can be awfully boring. May the powers that be continue to keep us guys and gals in line!

Seems to me that the rules are blindingly simple. This is YT's sandbox, and we are all guests in it. Whatever Kim says, goes. She can remove anything for any reason, or no reason. She gets to decide what is and is not humorous. The standards required are clearly linked at the top of the page.

llater,

I've only been trying to inject a little humor here for about a year, but, Kim's a she? I marvel at learning things.

Aye, that's why I asked. Seems that either the rules have changed, or I missed a heck of a flame fest this weekend.

It's sad that the transient trolls seem to have such power here.

Seems to me the best way to avoid losing an otherwise informative thread of dialogue is to avoid rising to the bait when the occasional "transient troll" manifests itself.

It's very easy to be misunderstood when we're communicating on a board such as this without the benefit of vocal inflections and body language. We all need to be patient with one another. There is a wealth of information to be shared here. Let's don't let it get away from us.

I used to post a few answers here in days past until I got a blistering email from one of the more frequent "experts" pointing out a small error that I had already corrected. I wonder how many people have left this board due to some of this hatefulness. I know that I have a list of folks that I correspond with via email and US mail rather than risk the wrath of some of the regular denizens of this site. I am very grateful for Kim and her efforts and to all the friendlies on this and other sites. Thanks to all of you good guys and Phooey to the sore heads who like to stir things up. MY TWO CENTS!

Please click on the "moderated" link at the top of the board, and read the information there. There have been some serious peronal attacks going on here, and they are not permited on this board. Due to the nature of the board software & format, a single post cannot safely be removed - the entire thread must go.

Any further discussion on this must be sent to me via personal e-mail.

Kim
