Went to my first live farm tractor pull...I was very surprised that there were no Ford 9n,2n,8n.There were plenty of those Green Machines all gussied up though . The really strange thing was that on our way to the pull we spotted about 6 different n's in the fields doing one kind of job or another ! I guess the n's hold there own doing real work around the farm as opposed to doing the fun stuff . The only Ford's that were in the pull were 2 pretty ratty looking Major's and one of them won their class !
Is there a reason there are no n's in these kinds of event's ? Just curious....
Thanks
Alan

Alan, As you observed, the N's still have a strong work ethic and happen to be a conveninet size for many who don't have a use for a larger classic. In addition, the N's are a bit on the light side for tractor games. Their compactness, power, and light weight which make them so useful otherwise, tends to work against them on the tractor playground. No matter. I'd rather have a 'real world' workhorse than a prima donna trailer queen any day. My .02 worth.

Regards,
Darryl
