I found three pieces in the bottom of a box of parts marked 9N16737. Gray piece of tin bent in funny shape withsome battery decal and another airclener decal w/ arrow. Never have seen one before. what might something like this be for/worth?

Rick, are you sure it's 16 and not 10 (zero)? 9N10737 is the battery cover plate, which would explain the decal.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

Ed may be on the money.
Checking my 1956 parts book numerical index shows;
16948 = Reinforcement - Lower Panel
16758 = Bumper - Battery Cover
16925 = Spring - Top Panel
in order, no other numbers, so 16737 is missing.
It is either an obsolete part or a part number
given something that never made it to production.

If you can't post a picture, maybe you could send it to bg (or someone that could post it - ask bg first if he can) and may he can identify it OR sent via email to one of the "other experts" that post to the N-Board.

LOL

I'd like to see what your referring to.
