When do you boys and girls have to start mowing before the weeds get too high? I have an 8N and a finish mower to deliver to my son up that way. Late Xmas present. ray

march... it usually needs mowing by the end of march, but it's also usually too wet. so, we wait until we can get out there without causing a lot of damage.... makes it april and very tall weeds.
good luck

Ray, used to go walleye fishing down at Center Hill Resorvoir in Tenn., the third week in March. As I live in southwest Ohio, (Highland Co.) always went down 62 thru Hillsboro to 52 and then down thru Paris and Millersburg to I-75. Almost every year they had mowed at least once at those real nice horse farms there in Bourbon Co. Thats not much over 100 miles south of us so maybe you can judge from that.

Just happened to look out the back window this morning and noticed how green the grass has turned up around the house. Although the back field is still brown, it won't be long and it will all be green and growing, Almost 60 degrees in N.E. Ohio yesterday and today is expected to go even higher. Wouldn't wait to long to deliver that tractor. He'll need it before April.

I'd say late spring, depending on temp. and rainfall. If like last year here (drought) he may mow once and never have to do it again! Get the tractor to him now so he can play, you're hoggin' all the fun!

As soon as possible! There's too much of a gap between the need to plow snow and the need to whack weeds. A week without a tractor ride is like a week without...., well, you know.

You mean you forgot about spring in OHIO??? It does seem that we only got there in the dead of winter... Were you there when they ran out of heating oil? I went to class in a sleeping bag. Or when there was no cold water, only hot??? Get a steam job when using the head.... Ohh Wellll...

Yeeaa, Al, been there quite a few times, done all those things. Son lives there now, living a more civilized life. If anyone else reads this they will think we "are not hittin' on all four".
