2N is stamped on the Ford emblem, rivets on the rear hub, and a three spoke wheel. BUT, the engine nameplate says Industrial Type 4-28, s/n 2790 C2CS. This does not appear to be a 2N s/n.

My best guess is that the engine has been replaced w/ an industrial version, which is the same basic engine- an easy, straight swap-out. All stock 2N's will have a 9NXXXXX serial number, unless the engine has been changed, in which case there will be no serial number, another 9N or 8N number, or a number like you have. The universal tractor...
