what is the correct way to stop an oil leak from the bolt in the rear end that holds the right lift arm on?

This can be a little work. There are castle nuts on the inside. You have to pull the axle housings to get at them. The 8N has tapered pins which are available, the 9N, straight, which are hard to come by.

Once you pull the axle halves ( or I think you can pull the left one and pull the differential to reach the right) you take the plate off. There was once supposed to be a gasket there. You can make one from paper gasket material coated with Permatex. Reassemble and tighten the pin and the bolt.

Really not a big job, about 4 hours for 2 people, just some bull work.

You can check archives for more on this, but it is pretty straight forward. Other than the above, there is no magic bullet for this.
