When my 8N got painted, the valve stems were painted also. Is there some sort of cleaner that will remove the paint from the rubber?

Thanks!

I have used Enamel Reducer or Lacquer thinner, if the paint is not real hard yet. Lacquer thinner will do a real nice job of cleaning rubber but then use some type of protectant to put some oils back in the rubber. Just my 1 cents worth.

We always used a razor blade for scraping overspray off of rubber and trim. Use it like a scraper, not a shaver, and it tends to fleck the paint off readily without damaging the substrait. Very controllable.

Try Goof-Off. A great product which can remove paint from about anything w/o damage. At most hardware and/or paint stores.

I would vote for oven cleaner, but I wouldn't leave it on very long on rubber before washing it off. Might test it on something similiar.

You would have to spary some in a plastic cap or something and paint it on with a small brush.
