You can't check or refill lubricant in the 2N steering box. Other than adding grease to a zerk fitting on your steering column cap, the only lubrication for the steering gears is "splash" lubrication from the transmission. The lower steering gear housing has the flow through compartment to the transmission housing.

My innovative grandfather was able to rig up a lub line from hydraulic pump to the steering column. An on/off valve was used to let fluid into the column every now and then.

Hi Tyler. Just read all the digital camera posts above, and wondered how you did this picture. It sure is a clear one and would be interested in just what you used, and how you did it. I have to take anything I want to send to a friend and have it scanned to a floppy. Thanks.

I have an old minolta 35mm camera that's been with me for about 13 yrs. I have the film developed and then pictures scanned with a HP ScanJet 5100 scanner. I build web sites on a part time basis and like to go the best way I can on getting crisp, clear pics.

Have a good day.

Thanks, nice looking tractor. I purchased mine pre-dented with the lubricant-dirt rustproofing.
