I finally decided to rebuild my 2N governor and ordered the $100.00 rebuild kit from the local FNH dealer. When the kit arrived I decided to let the shop handle the rebuild. When I got this thing back the front gear and inner/outer arms are still sloppy loose. The FO-4 book shows shims and bushings are to be used to correct for this wear, the shop said hey this thing is 50 years old it ain't going to get any better. Anybody with any thoughts? Thanx in advance Paul.....

Several months ago I asked a fellow that has been an N mechanic for over 45 years to rebuild my 9N governor. Didn't have a gear puller at the time. He did a fine job and both arms wobble to some degree. It works perfectly at every rpm. You may want to confirm the wobble with NH, try it out, and if it doesn't work, take it back. I think you will find it will operate properly.
