manual talks about alignment marks on the spindle...help, where are they and what do they look like and with what do they align. Does a '48 N have align marks? Appreciate your help.
Pete

Thanks GasPump; could you tell me now is there a way to align if no marks are to be found..what other possibilities are there that would make the front wheels wobble at 3rd gear speed other than misalignment or worn spindle bushings?
appreciate your help

Mis-alignment alone usually wont cause wobble.
Spindle bearings, axle pivot, radius rod ends and caps, steering box wear and tie rods need to be checked for wear. To align you can check toe in by measuring across front and rear sides of the front tires and adjust the drag link tubes until both are equal by turning the tubes to lenghten or shorten as required.

Aligners on the assembly line put chisel marks on the spindle arm and axle housing in one blow. Most N's had these marks but some did not. Also, many had parts changed over their years. Look closely some were faint.
