Have a broken rear crankshaft bearing cap.
The bolts sheared and the cap broke but no damage to the crankshaft.
Will another cap fit? thanks..... .

I believe you should direct your post to Llamas, or Zane. They can give you some pretty accurate advice on this problem, which I consider fixable, but tough. If this happened on a car motor, you would have to get a salvaged (used) or new cap, have it machined down to fit slightly lower on the block, and then have the block align bored. Lots of $$$$. On a tractor, I'm not sure if you can get away with simply putting in a used cap. The reason for my uncertainty is the front cap that holds the oil pump is replaceable without machining, so maybe the rest are too ? If the cap is cracked only where the stud fits, you may be able to have it welded as long as the fit on the block where it sits is not altered. If it's cracked along the round part that holds the bearing, it's scrap.
