9N transmission filler plug

I've checked my transmission oil level and it seems low... Could someone tell me where I add the oil to the transmission. I've heard that this is done thru the transmission filler plug, but I don't know where this is...

Dave is absolutely correct. The pic above shows the filler plug to the left of the gear shifter. Way to go Dave! :-)

Stan,

That's a lubrication line running from the port off the bottom of the hydraulic pump to the steering housing. The 9N/2N's didn't get much lubrication because the steering box was not sealed like that of a late 8N. It would only get "splash" lube from the tranny. My grandfather installed this to enable additional oil to be pumped to the steering column. There's an on/off valve pictured too. It only takes a few seconds of "on" to fill up the space in the column. I know because I left it on too long. :-)

Your Trans.,rearend and hydraulic oil are all the same oil, so, ya fill it in the big plug right next to your shifter.
