Snow--------Finally!!!

Hey, don’t knock it. At 7500 ft elev the best we can hope for is a mix of snow drops and rain flakes. When I heard you guys were getting a little rain I figured there might be some hope for us here in WY. For a while there I was getting worried that some of that global warming garbage was going on. A temp of 65 in the day and 35 at nite at this elev is not to be expected this time of year. I’ve been wanting to check out all my winterizing handiwork on the 8N. Finally got a chance. Yesterday morning it was 5 degrees and this morning it was Zero---Went out and fired up the old unmodified 6 volt 8N without benefit of heaters, ether or anything. It started on the first turn of the engine both mornings. Now you realize that starting them is the easy part---letting out the clutch without killing the engine is the hard part---takes a few minutes of sitting there with the clutch in before you can start getting that 5 gals of 90 wt grease stirred around. I think I might be smart to go to some 134 before it gets any colder. Anyway I’m happy with the results. Now it can go back to 65 and 35 if it wants to.
