in rebuilding everything in seat suspension I have found the position lock spring is broken. The only way I see to repair is to carefully bend open the small tab that has the split in it and remove the locking bar handle and replace the spring with one I have found and then bend that tab back. Is this the only way? it's the only way I see and you just hope it don't break? perhaps some heat would be smart before bending? has anyone repaired this spring without the tab breaking? Just wanna know if I am making this out to be a big deal for no real reason. Thanks for any info,jb

Yes, you've got to bend it just enough but not too much.
