Found rearend overfull on my 77. Pulled hydraulic pump and found centerplate cracked. I wondered out loud, "does anything ever go my way?". No sympathy from Dad - he just laughed.

Just remember every year before winter to just install your male fitting in each hose and work levers til empty and refill with fresh oil to get rid of all condensation. Just shot the oil into a bucket and then change filter and your ready to go again. Nobody ever does this and just like was already said oil floats on water and thats the lowest part of system and freezes very easy. Your end plates look good just flat sand using fine paper and a plate working in a figure 8 pattern and new seals and your up and running. Looks dirty anyway!

If the end plates are scored, this is the time for a rebuild. Bearings, seals, reground endplates, and boots for the top levers. Is that just a slight wear pattern on the drive sleeve side of the pump endplate or galled enough it should be resurfaced?
I will have all the parts you need for a rebuild.
