I am trying to decide between an Ezee-On loader (model 2100) and a K/D loader (model QT 5500). I want it to be easy to put on and remove from my tractor. I also want the one with the best service record. I will also use it to move big round bales of hay, so a hay spear will be needed. Ads for each of these brands are found in FASTLINE.Any comments about either or both loaders will be greatly appreciated.

Shep, I'm looking for a loader for my 1650D, and just got info on the TA line of loaders. But did not have prices. What does the TA-29 go for? If you don't mine
Thanks Doug

Don't waste your Oliver with a loader. It will mess up your front end. I would suggest getting different kind of tractor to put it on. Keep your tractor in good shape.

A TA-29 would probably be a little much for a 1650, it is designed for the 150 hp tractors. You should look at a TA-26, that will fit your tractor a little better. My loader was brand new with a self leveler, the quick detach buckets, and a cab mounted joystick control, and was about $6,000 installed with a spear and a material bucket. The TA-26 will not be that much, Im guessing around $3,000 to $4,000 new for it, depending on the options and buckets you get with it. I guess my thinking is you only buy a loader once, and I am going to spend the money and buy one that will outlast the tractor and not get broken up easily. Hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions.

Cant help you much on the Ezee or the K/D loaders. I run a Westendorf TA-29 on my 1855 Cummins Oliver and I love it. It comes on and off easily and can lift any round bale I can spear with it. Mine has a self leveler and a joystick control and is one of the best heavy duty loaders I have run. It is not real fast and the big 1855 is not the most agile tractor with a loader but it works good out the open. I guess it depends on what kind of money you want to spend on a loader and what you are doing with it. Just my 2 cents.....

I have to agree with Shep the Westondorf Loader is a good choice of loader. We used to sell them where I used to work and with the loader off there is very little supframe mounted on the tractor to get in the way, they remove very easy and quick. They also are very easy to reattatch. A very good loader. Good Luck Shadetree.

my .02 cents probably isn't worth anything to ya'll, but we are running a pair of 1955's and both equipted with Koyker K500 loaders that lift 4000 lbs, 14ft high, were using 7' buckets with quick attach and dual spools in the cabs, we handle about 3000 bales a year plus move some dirt or and thing else a loader can be used for, handy as a pocket on a shirt. their built in the Dakotas and have been very durable. I can highly reccomend them. end of .02 cents worth

I mounted a WL 42 Westendorf on a 1950 Oliver A WL series loader will do the job with a smaller price tag than the TA series Westendorf does have a real good quick tach system for its scoops and bale forks. Also do not attach a bale fork to the loader scoop because of it being hard on the loader and tractor frontend.Have scoop and balefork seperate from each other. The WL 42 mounts and dismounts very easily also.

I reiterate, don't waste an oliver by putting on a loader. Go buy a junky farmall or a Deere. Wasting an Oliver should be a sin. brought to you by Plowboy P.S. I hate loaders
