Drove by a nearby construction site (new Walmart) and saw a 2255 pulling an offset disk. 2WD, dual wheels and a roll bar. Decent looking tractor. Just another use for an old workhorse.

Around here in north central Iowa there's a lot of road construction going on and you see quite a few old Olivers pulling scrapers, rollers, disks ect. It is really good to see these tractors still out working hard. Just another tribute to their toughness.

Saw a similar thing a couple years ago- except it was an MM G-1000 Vista. And this area is noted for its lack of MM tractors.

Last fall I drove past a new housing site and saw a big 4WD Oliver being used to pull a disk.

While this oliver model is a very "cocky" looking tractor with its CAT V-8 diesel....you couldn't run fast enough to give one to me. I know 2 owners who have put multiple engines in theirs. The original 1160 CAT was really bad and the 3208 CAT replacement engines have a bad habit of coming apart. These engines must be very "religous"..... cause they usually end up being very holey.

Who Cares. Just thought I would comment on seeing one. Not asking for opinions on Cat motors.
