I would like to know if a1950 Cockshutt (Oliver) GM tub will bolt up with a 1855-1955 or any other back half and will every thing line up?
Found a1950 Wheatland but I would like to use this tractor for farming need 3point an adjustable front end. Thought if I could find a tractor without a motor could swap tub and front end and would have a tractor with better hydraulics and over under. How heavy are the rear end parts in smaller 1750-1855 would they holdup.
If any one has any thoughts on this please let me know. Thanks ATM

My late bother in-law was a long time WFE dealer and farmer using Cockshutt tractors. He told me that it was fairly routine and surprisingly easy to swap tubs between tractors as the mount holes are all identical. I asked a similar question in this forum a week ago and the answer implied that the 1950 tub would fit onto an 1850 rear end. A fellow who had a 1950-T told me that he had broken a couple of axel stubs under heavy load using big rubber(similar H.P.). Seems to me that if you keep oil clean and temp down you should be ok for bale work and light cultivating. Watch the gearoil pump. There are two dead tractors near me with wrecked rear ends due to gear oil pump failures.
