Hello, My father traded a 9N Ford for a heavily used Oliver 1250 with the Fiat diesel engine back in 1969(it was used to mow the side of the highways here in Texas at that time). It was a mass improvement over the Ford. We still have the tractor and still use it to mow 10 acres. Has never had a problem! Great on fuel and lots of power for its size.

Parts are rare and expensive, it is a Fiat motor. The AGCO dealer will be able to help you, although you might look at a motor swap. Maybe an old 55o or a M-F Continental? Work on the Fiat is very pricey.

Call Maibach Tractor at 1-800-808-9934. They are very good people to deal with. By the way, the Fiat engine is reliable, but not in the 1250. The 1365 is an awesome tractor.

bad news adam. i am a huge oliver fan and collector. the 1250 is an awesome machine but it sports the not so reliable fiat engine. i am not sure where to get parts at but i may be able to put you in touch with someone who can. will get back to you.
