Does anyone know where I can get a head, both manifolds and carb for a 1550? i want to put them on my 77 pulling tractor. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Dale,I've looked all over for the intake and exhaust manifolds.My advice is if you can find them,grab them.I spent yesterday at a 20 acre tractor junkyard full of olivers.Went through the parts bins,and came up with zilch on manifolds.They may have a head.if they do it would be stripped of valves.You may consider having your head reworked.I put chevy small block S.S.intake valves in mine.The shop had to cut the exhaust ones down(outside dia of valvehead).These are as big as possible that will fit in the 77 head.(the sides of the chambers had to even be opened up a little),then they used new guides and seats.Plus hogging out of the valve bowls.Not cheap.I'm looking at right now having a jig made up to be able to cut down and shorten the intake nanifolds of 1600's to fit the 77.If I do we would be able to make them pretty easy.Would others be interested in this?Good luck on your search.Dan

In the diesels the manifolds for S77,1550,and 1555 are all the same.
