on a 1550 utility with the detent remotes, where would I tap in to install more valves.
I have two remotes now, but I have a loader on her
and am using the remotes for the loader. My new (used) back blade has hydraulic tilt and angle, so I need the remotes for it. Would like to tap into the hydraulics and run a new valve for the loader and have the remotes free. Were shoud I tap in and should I use a closed center or open valve.
Thanks Lou

If the 1550 is like my 1555 , the hydraulics are open center . You can do a power beyond on a 1555 , which I believe is the same as a 1550 , by removing two plugs and plumbing them with hydraulic fittings that are underneath the operator's seat on the left side of the operator . You remove one 1/2 plug and I belive screw in a 3/8 pipe plug inside the housing . A little further back down the housing you remove a second 1/2 inch pipe plug . You may need a torch to heat the plugs since it is steel to cast iron on the housing . On my 1555 I took two 1/2 inch pipe nipples with quick connects on ends and screwed them in to where you remove the pipe plugs . You then plug in the lines from the loader to the quick connects . BA Star who is on this web site a lot e mailed me a diagram and instructions on how to connect the power beyond on a 1555 .

I believe they are virtually the same tractor. There is very little difference between the 1550-1555 and the late 1650-1655. The 17s, 18s and 19s were quite a bit different than the 50 series. I would bet the 1555 layout would be the same as the 1550.

Lou,
I'm not sure where, but this has been posted before. You might try looking in the old posts. Good luck, dwm.
