OK boys, got me a 53 '77 row crop. I want to know what this will weigh with wide front (pressed steel). No hydraulics. Also I have access to a pair of pressed steel for the rear. Tractor is "tuned up" for pulling. Hoping to get in the 4000 class. Thanks in advance...770

The wide front adds 188 pounds if you are going light then you need a narrow front,to get wieght off the front.

My 77 is show stock except the bottle opener on one side without the belt pulley or hydralics. It does have the mechanical lift on it, stock hitch and no weight brackets. It comes in right at 4200-4250 and with me on it about 200 more. I would think that with pressed steel you should be able to do 4000 easy as I dropped almost right at 1100 pounds when I put pressed steel on my 88. I was 5350 with cast 13.6 and and 300 in wheel weights. After I changed the wheels it weighed in at 4060. Heck i had to fill the tires back up with water to pull where I was but an going lighter this year.

What size tires are on it or what are you going to put on it? With 15.5's my 77 narrow pressed steel all the way around without rear weight bracket, with front bracket and wheelie bars and without belt pulley with me (160) pounds it weighs 3950. With me on it and belt pulley, with 13.6's on pressed, and light weight bracket and wheelie bars it weighs 3700.

Terry says that a stock 77 with cast iron and narrow front weighs about 4000. My 77 that we have been pulling for 4 years weighs 5000 with 13.6's, cast iron and light weight brackts.

Don't know exact weight, but several in our area are able to put a 77 in the 3500 class, without much problem. Stock 77 with cast wheels is only around 4000 lbs. Terry.
