Had the cam ground down on my 77. Went to adjust the valves, the adjusting screws in the rocker arms are turned in too far for the jamnut to grab any threads. What do I do??? Do they make longer sdjusting screws??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I haven't had my 77 apart yet so I'm just putting my two forth learned from other engines. Maybe also find other adjuster screws the same thread but longer. Or, maybe shave the bottom of the rocker stands(if they're removable). You'll have to figure out the rocker arm ratio and figure that into the amount. I'm sure it won't be any where near the amount you moved the screw.

Have the guy that ground the cam sell you a new custom set of longer pushrods ($$$).

On my olivers with high life cams, i take the nut off, screw the threaded ajuster off and put the nut on the bottom side. Than screw back in and set with nut on bottom side of rocker arm. Its kinda tricky getting an accurate setting, but if you have someone helping its not too bad with four hands. If you have a .320 grind, set your intakes at .22 and your exhaust at .24 If they are a little on the loose side it wont hurt any anyways good luck

IF YOU ARE OUT OF THREADS I THINK I WOULD GET ANOTHER CAM THEY WENT TOO FAR WITH THIS ONE.

IF YOU GROUND THE VALVES YOU SHOULD BE ABOUT

THE SAME ADJUSTMENT. I THINK SOMTHING ELSE IS WRONG. MAYBE TALLER HEAD GASKET.
