A friend of mine sent me some pictures of a 990 Detroit on rear steel. The front is on rubber. It has a Case front end under it because the owner said it was built heavier than the Oliver front end? Looked in my parts book and it showed rear steel as an option on these tractors. The tractor is located in the rice country. Was wondering if anybody else has seen a 990 on rear steel? Seems kind of unique for that model of tractor on steel? Will look at it in a few weeks and see if i can buy the tractor!

I bought a Super 99 three years ago from a Menonite man in Maryland. It had steel all way around. I'll say one thing about those farmers, they wear their tractors out befor they get rid of them.

Have not seen any newer olivers on steel, but up in the Menonite community, I have seen fairly new 4wd Agco's on steel. It's a site that almost makes you want to stop and make sure you are seeing what you think you are seeing.

I have a piece of literature showing the Super 99 on steel in the rice fields.
