I'v been using my 2255 to cultivate and the corn is getting alittle tall for the band duals. My question is what options were offered regarding duals on the 2255? any that would have better crop clearence? I am running in 30" rows. Thanks for any info.

Unless you are pulling a monster cullivator, most guys pull the duals off. You dont have any other options with the outboard planetaries. If you have axel shafts, and they are long enough, you can get another set of hubs and wheels. I know there was a option between planetaries or standard axels on certain models. I have cultivated with a 8 row and a 1755 with single rears and did fine.

I think there was a dual ext. that was cast iron,it bolted to the planetary and a pressed steel dual could be bolted to it.

P.S. to above post, the dual ext. was used on 4-180's,they have planetary final drives and that is where I remember the spacer from.

I have seen the cast spacer on a 2-150 before also. It also has planetaries similar to the 2255. I do not know where to find a set though.
