Hey guys:

I"m rebuilding the engine in my Oliver 1900. I"m putting the N series(21:1) Kit in it. From the factory it had the S series (17:1). My question is, with the higher compression ratio do I have to worry about the valves hitting the pistons? It has the 2 valve head

Thanks,

John

No, they will not hit. Get a four valve head, this will help.

Hey Oliver puller, do you have a detroit oliver that you pull with? I have a 1900 we're thinking of turboing for pulling. The motor is rebuilt with the N series pistons. It has a 4 valve head and we've got N70s in it right now with no turbo. I don't know much about turbos and I have no clue how big to go. I was thinking maybe making a header to bolt the turbo to with maybe a TO6 or TO8 turbo and 92-120 injectors. We're only allowed to rev to 3100 rpm. Please respond and let me know if I'm on the right track.

P.S. If any body has has an Over-under for sale in Ontario or northeast US let me know.
