The Midwest Oliver Collectors invites you to make
plans now to attend the 2005 HPOCA Winter Get-Together,
at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Moline,
Illinois (located across from the Quad City Airport)
at 6902 27th. St., Moline, Illinois. Call the Convention
Center at 309-762-8811 for reservations or call the
Holiday Inn Express (next door to convention center) at
309-762-8300 and make sure you tell them you’re with
HPOCA to receive the special room rates.
Vendor set up will be Thursday morning, for vendor
space please contact Bruce Meier 608-325-6788 or
Craig Montgomery 608-325-7426. Spaces are $15, 6x8
(includes one table and 2 chairs) $8 each additional table.
HPOCA and Chapters will receive one free space.
Advance registration required. (Vendor registration
form can be found elsewhere in this issue).
On Friday, vendor sales will be open and also we
have two tours set up, the fi rst leaving at 9:00 am.
We will be touring the outstanding Oliver collection
of Bill and Kay Meeker. The second tour will leave
around 9:30 am and will be at Isabel Bloom. They
produce beautiful hand crafted sculptures. There are
many other places of interest (on your own) John
Deere Collectors Center, John Deere Pavilion, and
plenty of shopping for the ladies. On Friday night, we
will be having a parts auction.
On Saturday, vendors will once again be open for
you to fi nd all of your Oliver needs. We will also have
seminars set up for Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon
will be the HPOCA general membership
meeting. We will end the evening with a banquet. It
will be a two meat buffet with all the fi xings, coffee,
tea, and dessert. Cost of the banquet is $25 for adults,
$12.50 for kids ages 3-10, and children under 3 are
free. Advance registration is required. (Banquet form
elsewhere in issue). After the banquet we will have a
fun auction.
It promises to be a wonderful weekend with a lot of
fun things planned to see and do, so please come and
join us!
