I bought a generator and regulator for my tractor, 6 volt postive ground with a 3 brush no adjustment on the third brush. The only information on the regulator shows it to fit an oliver. The requlator has B,F,L terminals plus it has an un-marked terminal under the regulator. It seems reasonable that the B goes to the amp meter and the F to the generator field term but, where does the A gen terminal connect?

The generator A terminal goes to the regulator terminal you say is unmarked.

As I remember the L terminal will go to the switch and fed the rest of the electrical system. I think it lets the regulator sense the load.
