I have 4 olivers, and I would like to know a bit about them. The only Oliver info I have is pg 11 of the May/June 01 Oliver Hart Parr collectors Magazine. They are as follows..

880 Diesel Super 88 Diesel 88 diesel
48-0023 28-0002 00004-142034
75-071-873 53-708-801

77 (no motor)
338992c77d

ANY help would be appreciated...Andrewcurry21@msn.com

Your Super 88, S/N 53-708 Was built in 1957. It has the Regular speed transmission and ring and pinion. The ratio is 4.7 to 1 from a 47 tooth ring gear and 10 tooth pinion gear. It should have equipment as Mr Schwiebert stated.
Your 880 has the helical gear transmission with the same ring gear and pinion ratio as your Super 88.

Can help on some. The 77 is a 1951. If the 88 has the number 142034, it is a 1952. The other numbers don't fit the sequence.

The 77 had 37.3 hp on the belt and 34.1 on the drawbar. The 88 had 45.15 hp on the belt and 43.53 on the drawbar. The Super 88 had 55.63 hp on the belt and 54.88 on the drawbar. The 880 had 61.85 hp on the belt and 59.48 on the drawbar. The 77 weighed 4207 from the factory (no tire ballast). The 88 weighed 5460. The Super 88 weighed 5573. And the 880 weighed 5735. All had 6 cylinder engines 6 speed transmissions.

I have the Nebraska tests for all 4 but I only own a 77 RC.

If you have these four, you have a very nice collection!

75-071 is a 1959 880 tractor 53 708 is a 1957 Super 88. It should have key start and the battery box cover is held on with four screws. The 77 is about a late 51 early 52. Is 142 034 the serial number of the 88. the 48-0023 and 28 -0002 look like spec numbers for the 880 and the Super but your 00004 number I do not understand. This is subject to correct since I do this from memory. Questions?
