big kahuna,

Edchainsaw has it right.

The Black Hawk is the SAME as tractor as the Deluxe tractors, except for the decal set. Both have yellow hoods and fuel tanks. The Blach Hawk name was marketed in the USA in 1956 and very early 1957 before introducing the Deluxe name to the USA market. The Deluxe tractors were marketed in CANADA in 1956,and '57, and early '58.

The upgrades included in the "yellow" hood tractors over the "red hood" earlier models are basically the following: standard, Knodler deluxe seat, cigar lighter, front step, optional, three point hitch and power steering.

All of the above are round nose tractors before the introduction of the square front 500 series in 1958 with production to 1962.

Thanks guys.
Mine is a cockshutt 50 and it has the wide front, red everywhere except for the yellow cockshutt logo on the side of the hood.
Is it possible that I can switch rear-ends from a cockshutt 50 diesel to miy tractor which is gas?
I have 4th and 6th gear noise, like a rattle / growlly sound. A guy wants me to buy the rear-end from the bell housing back. Before I make the big journey I would like to be sure
