I need more pressure from my hyd systems on the 880 and 77. Just how high can I push them befor somthing fails? I realisticly need 1800 psi. Is that going too far? High pressure loads are cylenders not motors.

It is your money but try to stay under a 1000 PSi on the relief valve setting. We had a customer that purchased a 450 plow one time He had a D-4 Cat and a TD international. One crawler would lift it one would pull it. He purchases a different cylinder and that ended that. How much (in pounds) push does the cylinder need to develop?

I am curious what you are working on. Couldn"t you obtain a larger diameter cylinder?

There is something called a "pressure intensifier", but the expense would be significant.

currently working on a 10" 72' GSI grain auger that lifts with a large ram. The 77 powers it with ease but won't lift it. I also pull a 27' brillion X wing pulverizer with these tractors but need to run the wing up a ditch to get it to fold over. There are other things they just struggle to lift. The hyd has been the week link in these tractors for me. Just asking too much of them I guess. Thanks.

One thing to watch for no matter what tractor you are using on that big ram is the fluid level.
Most of those are one way cylinders and can use a lot of oil.

Glad to hear your 1650 is working out. Here is the 1650 I had. I sometimes wish I would of kept it. The high speed transmission was nice.

Best not to exceed 1200 on those, center of pump will fail. Can larger dia. cylinders be adapted?
Would be better than wrecking the tractor pump etc.
