My 2255 gets hot when operating at 80% load or more on 70F+ days. I've replaced the thermostats installed new water pump(s) and had the radiator cooked and then rodded out. Nothing helps. Tractor is not turned up. Stock 3150. I blow out the radiator regularly and power wash every time the tractor is home. I need to keep it cool. Any ideas? Any one else have this problem? Thanks.

Mine runs on the high side.
1. Check the sender & gauge.
2. Back off the throttle just a bit
3. Mechanice I know says his run hot, too.

Try and find a dealer who"s been in it since then and see if he"ll let yuo go through his old service bulletins (probably on micro-fiche). As I recall there was a service bulletin about cooling problems with them. It involved several things including something to do with the overflow/return container.

Does it actually push coolant or not? If it does it may have a blown head gasket. Try comparing temps with an infrared thermometer taking the readings at the sending unit. They shouldn't be over 210 degrees. Your gauge and or sender may be messed up. Our 2255 with the 3208 runs cool on the hottest of days running 225 hp and using it hard.
