direct or lanova injection?Thiers different 310 heads in the cooling holes and head bolt size.Maybe the 1750 head would work but the 1950T and 1955 has more cooling holes and use bigger head bolts.Guess I never heard of a two peace head.My 1650 has one peace head.

If it is a 2 piece head it is off an Oliver 1800 A series. I do not doubt that it is cracked. Now some of those cracks do not hurt a thing. So tell me more. No a 310 Lanove head is different as is a 283 Lanova head off of a 1650 diesel. Now have you had it pressure tested? Is it an early head without valve seats?

your right it is off of an 1800 series A. Its lanova injection. Unfortunatly it has been preasure tested and its bad. Is this a problem with theses engines? Not sure if it has valve seats..I think it might.

Lets up back up here a minute. The reason I asked about the pressure test is 99%(or more by this time) of those heads have cracks in them. Some of those cracks will never hurt. Now since it is the two piece head, how about telling me about where the crack(s) that leaks are located. Also the orignal heads did not have valve seats. That started in 1961. They had a kit to put seats in the heads. They found out when installing the seats it was possiable to get into the water jacket when cutting the counterbore for the seats the same as it is on most heads. So I though maybe it was leaking in the seat area. Next thing. What do you do with this tractor? My thinking was maybe since it is the take apart head it could even be repaired from the inside out. Look it over and get back with me. Also get me head casting number and an engine casting number and a tractor serial number and maybe even your phone number. There were changes in the coolant holes on those blocks both in size and location. Questions? Don't know if I have any answers but lets start here.

Hello, if you cant use this head I would be interested in the top piece(2 piece design)as my main head piece is good but the top plate is cracked from freezing.
