I found on Oliver 535 Combine for sale with a V-8 engine. Were these good machines, how much are they worth?

Where 535 machines good, yes and no...They are a Cockshutt built machine, and alot of people that worked on the in their day complained about the belt system. I guess one thing to keep in mind is that this combine is around 40 years old, and its going to have some issues regardless of care thru the years. Last fall I was kinda hot to trot over a White 8700, but after seeing its condition, and how hard to find/spendy parts are on those units, I walked away. Basically I am saying, if your hoping to farm with a 535, its gonna cost some money, unless you have great luck. As for a worth, I have no clue. They cant be worth too much- most have been boned out, so I would venture to guess a grand at most with the heads. Good luck!
