Looking for a Narrow frontend to put under a 1950. Preferrably in S. Indiana or S. Illinois or most of Kentucky, but any will be considered.

Anybody got one laying around?

Also, will it bolt right up, or will there be some bolthole alignment issues like I read about with a 2255 NF install? Or did I just dream that up?

Thanks

I have one on a 1650 frame, hubs included. Will take $150.00 and help you get it off the frame. I am about 45 miles south of Louisville. E-mail me with your phone # and we will talk.

The 1950 has a different bolt pattern than the smaller tractors. The two front holes are the same, but the other four are offset. I put a tricicle under my 1950GM a few years ago and ran into that problem. Look for casting number that starts with 106-???, I can"t remember the rest of the numbers. Hope this info helps you in your search.

Remember one of the features of the 1950 when it was presented to dealers at the "Growing O shows" was it was availble with a tricycle front axle. So bolting it up would not be a problem if you have the original front frame.

I have a pedestal from a 1655 with hubs. Pedestal bearings and seals are bad. Problem is I'm in SW Iowa. Freight would be costly. Gene

I'd check with Ollie Schaefer in what I call southcentral Illinois. 618-664-3050.
