I'm more into AC and MM, so excuse this dumb question - I'm looking at a photo of a Super 88 Diesel that appears to be taller than normal. Before I go chasing it with fuel what it is today - are there any tells as to Hi Clear vs normal row crop? 16" fronts but appears long drop from adj wide front axle like some of the concurrent D17 and D19s - It has 13-38 rears which according to book I have is normal for row crops - did they have deep drop axles or how did they differ from row crop. Thanks. Ed

If it is a high crop you will find drop boxes on the rear axles and longer spindles on the front axle. It should have 38in. rear and 18in.front tires.BEWARE of non original super 88 high crops a few have been made from 1650 style boxes, su 88 boxes have fender mounts cast in the top of the box, 1650 style has mount clamped on axle. this should help with a quick look over,00 and 50 series high crops usually have 099 on the serial tag, but can't tell on the older ones. Oh and the front cast 18 in. wheels are the same as a 99.
