I bought a 4-150 last year and have logged many hours in a 4-180 before that. I like the whites because they are fairly well built and can be had for rock bottom prices. I just hope you are a mechanical person and have the facilities to work on a tractor that size when the repairs come in. There are a lot of systems on those tractors and being 30 years old they are all needing some fixing. On my 4-150 I had to do some work on the articulation joint, the exhaust system was shot and had to be completely refabricated, fuel tank was leaking and had to be changed, brakes were oil soaked and ruined inside and had to be rebuilt, radiator had to be taken out and serviced, put a new cab kit in, painted the black part of the tractor, fixed the alternator brackets, battery tray needed some attention, the list goes on and on. You have to realize those tractors are very old and worn and basically are one step away from being in the tractor salvage when you buy them for $4000-$6000 dollars. The tires are usually all nasty and worn out too. Mine does not have duals but rather the big singles all the way around, 23.1-30's and I like them a lot. They do ride rougher though on the road. The 4-180 has the advantage of having planetary gears on the axles and the 4-150 does not.The 4-180 has the two speed gearbox for high and low and the 4-150 has a three speed hydraulic powershift that can be very problamatic. I think the 4-180 is the better choice because of not having the weak link of the powershift in there. The 4-210 is basically the same tractor but with a heavier center hinge section and axles on the 2-155 tractors and the 4-150 and 4-180 are based on the 2-105 rear ends but overall they all three pull pretty close to the same. I have logged many miles in the 4-150, 4-180 and 4-210. I think the thing I like the best about having one or a 4wd in general is if they are running good they can go over fields and wet spots where you would get nervous with a 2wd tractor. The 3208 is a trooper and if it runs ok you will probably have good luck with it. Chances are it has been rebuilt or changed by now and replacements are all over the country in trucks. Good luck, I hope it works out.

Hello, AGCOGUY! The 4-150 & 4-180 are good tractors...if used within reason. A 4-180 is not as rough and rugged as a 4-210. There were a LOT of updates on the 4-150 and 4-180 tractors. Check with a local White dealer to see if yours had them done. The two final drives are basically the same as a 2255 Oliver. One drawback of the 4-180 is that you cannot shift the 2-speed auxillary transmission on-the-go, as you can with an Over-Under Drive. For pulling implements that require 150-170 horsepower, a 4-180 is good, cheap power. The 3208 Cat is a good engine, and not too bad on fuel. I hope this helps! BA Starr would have some in-depth info for you. Best wishes!
