I have an 1800 A gas, that ground, but would not move in the low range gears. After pulling off the transmission cover there seemed to be a lot of play in the shift collar, and the input shaft bearings were loose. After pulling the engine, the front of the input shaft is worn out where the coupler gear drives, so will have to replace shaft. My question,is there a good source for a used shaft,or will I have to update to the pressure lubed shaft? Thanks for any suggestions. When I grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, in the early 70's We had an 1800 diesel, and that was our big horse for a lot of years. Now it seems like you have to have 100 horsepower, just to rake hay.

Boy this is going back to 1961, when I worked on my first 1800 A transmission, but you might want to check your serial number. The very first ones are a little different. Questions send me an e-mail on the HPOCA page. J.

If your situation is like mine there isn't an AGCO within 200 miles of me that knows what an Oliver tractor is. You didn't say where you were from so that might make a difference in shipping. Here is a list of parts suppliers and their respective states. They will ship to your door. Farmersville (PA) 717-354-2150, Maibach's (OH) 330-939-4192, Korves (IL) 618-473-2855, Agpartsfirst (OH) 1-866-246-9720, O'Brien (IA) 712-324-4871. Used parts - Dorhout (IA) 712-324-2760, Schaefer (IL) 618-664-3050, Smitty's (OH) 330-832-9792. Decals - Dumont (IA) 641-622-2592, Manuals - Floyd Co. Museum (IA) 641-228-1099.
