I have a chance to buy a 310 gas powerunit that is not running and probably will need a rebuild. He wants $900 for it as is. I want to know what it is worth as a pulling engine to put in my 88 Oliver tractor. I would just rebuild it and run it stock (maybe an overbore kit). How much would a rebuild kit run? Any help would be great as I am not an expert on this. Thanks.

I guy I know here rebuilt a gas 310, changed the crank, changed the cam, put it in an 88 frame and pulls with it. Puts out a lot of power.
He spend a lot of money on it. Had to buy a new crank for about $1500. I don't know what he spent for the engine.
If you want to talk to him, let me know and I'll get you a phone number.

Is that a good engine or one in need of rebuilding? Thanks.
