I need to pull the engine on a 4-150 for rebuild. How does the pto shaft come out? Does the 3 speed pull away or is there somthing in the defferental case that needs to be disconnected first? Thanks.

Adam, there is a pretty good looking 3208 for sale on ebay out in your neck of the woods. Item number 300078166236. Cat 3208 in a New Holland Tr 70 combine in very good running condition. Looks pretty good to me. Got about 4 days left on the auction. They are in Ellsworth Wisconsin and said it is about 45 minutes Sw of St. Paul Minnesota. Good luck, I think it would be worth a look.

Hello, Adam! Well, first of all, you will need to drain the main fuel tank and remove it. Then, you have to take the cover off of the front differential/tansmisison assembly (a large, flat plate of steel). Inside, you will find the "quill shaft". You will then have to unbolt the eight quill-shaft bolts, and slide the shaft backward from the Over-Under coupler. As for the PTO live power shaft, you will have to remove the upper connecting driveshaft (the liveshaft between the two frames) and then pull the front PTO shaft out. It works easier to have the tractor "bent" when you do this. Please...be careful! Lots of heavy and awkward parts! I also hope you have a WARM place to work! Best wishes!
