I would bet a 14 ga. is all you need. Remember that the wires generally are quite short under that dash area so when you have a larger power requirement there is less of a problem when the run is short. From my memory (which tends to get short lately!) most of the Oliver wiring was no larger that 14 ga. for the lights.

I don't know what the size of that wire was when that tractor was new, but I would use at least a 12 gauge wire. I tend to use bigger wire than required.

If you have the old wire, compare it to what you have.

I never took it out of the harnes I did not want to cut it up I will probly find some 12 ga wire the right color and put it in there but I am going to wate until it warms up it was 30 or 40 out there beside the shed and parked in an 18in snow drift to boot

To be on the safe side, I would install the heavier wire. I used to restore older autos and build/wire street rods. I can tell you from experience the lighter gauge wire will turn into a nightmare after a while. Change it out and you will sleep better.
