My Dad has talked of those promos being shown before, during intermission, and after the movie at our local - no longer in business- drive-in movie theatre. The local Oliver dealership was a sponsor. I guess Mom (who was a city girl) got a Oliver education when she was dating DAD.

Thanks "dad's88" for the info that some of those promos are available from the FCHS. I'll have to give them a call and see what's available. It would make a nice gift for Dad (and Mom) for their upcoming 45th wedding anniversary.

Gosh, what a neat story. You should write a little something up about that and send it to one of the magazine editors. I'm sure they would print it! You know, I don't know why Floyd County doesn't advertise these more than they do. What a treasure trove of information. Acres Of Power was made to celebrate Olivers 100 anniversary and the new tractor fleet. They show all of the plants and tractors coming off the assembly line. Getting Ahead of Tomorrow covers the X-O121 and introduces the new SUPER line of tractors and shows new SUPER88's coming off the line. A New World of Power covers the 3 digit series. Versatility on Wheels is a must see as it shows so many neat field sceens of the fleetlines. The corn picker ones are cool in that they show all pull type and mounted models. Cleaner Corn Quicker with an Oliver Picker is early fleetline era and Champions of the Corn Harvest is green wheeled SUPER era. If your interest lies in the later stuff they have great films available on the 00,50,55, and White products too. The "Whats New in Better Farming" series is like looking through a full line catalog from the 60's on film, And it's all in color! I'm sure you and your folks would really enjoy these tapes.
